Trips & Events

WELCOME TO OUR TRIPS & TRAVEL PAGE! This is where you will find all the trips for our group which we also share with other local coordinators in the Houston area for their students as well.

NOTE from Troy (trip organizer): If you are not one of my exchange students & your local coordinator is not a chaperone on your trip, or you were invited by one of our students and with a different placement organization, you are still welcome – however for any overnight trips we will require a copy of your approved travel request form.

CAMPING TRIPS

We have 5-6 camping trips per year

ONE LEFT! April 17-19th *TRIP IS FULL*

Get away from it all and head to the forest for a relaxing 3 night camping trip.

Activities vary by location but always include hiking, stargazing, 4 square volleyball, corn hole game, and fun talks (and usually singing) around a beautiful campfire roasting marshmallows or making s’mores. If it’s warm we camp by the lake and enjoy kayaking & paddle boarding, We will do all the cooking at the campsite outside on the grill or open fire. Enjoy a group hike or just chill, these are relaxing trips to get away from life and enjoy the peace and quite of the forest. Bring a good book, your headphones, or games to share. Most trips are at a Texas State Park and include park ranger talks and guided nature hikes.

Travel to the campsite and overnight accommodations while there will be provided by a Prevost entertainer motorcoach (bus) with individual bunks. Each bunk has a privacy curtain and it’s own air conditioning or heating vent, light, and electrical plug.
